Bought a 35 foot class A motorhome in Humboldt. We live in PEI. Took a chance on the Google reviews and had Prairie Diesel do the pre-purchase inspection. 2 months driving the rig now and they're inspection was bang on! Also did a bunch of maintenance for us, oil change, filters etc. Everything was done as expected. I had hoped to get "small town" friendly but professional service, and that's exactly what I got. Meet your Mechanic! When we say mechanic we mean it! Joey maybe the owner but he is very much so the operator! From service calls to serious diagnosis you won’t find him without coveralls and a pen light. Joey has been in the industry for 19 years, starting with building trailers at Doepkers to opening the business here in 2011! When he isn’t knee deep in diesels at the shop, he is on his farm in Annaheim with his family where his son is climbing in the tractor with his dad. Joey looks forward to bringing you the service level and knowledge he is known to provide.
Meet your Mechanic! When we say mechanic we mean it! Joey maybe the owner but he is very much so the operator! Meet your Mechanic! Liam is our newest journeyman! He is a big cummins buff and enjoys digging into the ISX’s in the shop or a 5.9 in his down time. Liams black and white take on pulling wrenches means he goes through lots of our safeties, so everything is by the book. When not at the shop he is quick to lend a hand, grab a fishing rod or head out skeet shooting. You may see him around town walking his two large dogs. Liam likes being home every night and the focus that a small business brings to family means Prairie Diesel is the place for him.

Walby enjoys hard work and some laughs; He can often be found playing ball in the summer with the co-sponsored team the DiggerPigs. Walby is happy to be with a company that supports local communities and sports teams.

He is also our residence wiring gremlin tamer, with the patience and understanding to coax out all those crazy issues and put them to bed! Weylon loves his electronics and can be found investing time in new programs for the shop or testing new wiring sequences. He enjoys smoking meats and cheeses on his deck with a cold one! The personal development and breadth that small business like Prairie Diesel, can give employees means Weylon is an old dog always learning new tricks!

Braxton brings fresh eyes, a desire to learn and a long list of colorful words to the shop. We are excited to support and grow his mechanical aspirations.

Tawnie started early 2013 and has been a fixture in the shop ever since. Coming from an automotive parts, service and bookkeeping background Tawnie takes care of the front of the shop. From sourcing one off bully dump valves, crossing fan belts or ordering your full inframe kits Tawnie has you covered. She loves talking politics, getting into the community in all matters and taking her kids to the Dosch Family Farm. Tawnie brings her detail-oriented focus, tenacious nature and gregarious attitude to every part of the job.

Warehouse Jax started at Prairie Diesel with knowledge of warehousing but never having worked with truck parts. She picked up quickly and enjoys helping the mechanics with odd jobs. Jax brings a quick smile, easy going nature and her inquisitive mind to the job. Always ready to lend a hand and be a team player, she enjoys watching football games, trying new foods and attending the local area events in her spare time!
Warehouse Jax started at Prairie Diesel with knowledge of warehousing but never having worked with truck parts. She picked up quickly and enjoys helping the mechanics with odd jobs. Jax brings a quick smile, easy going nature and her inquisitive mind to the job. Always ready to lend a hand and be a team player, she enjoys watching football games, trying new foods and attending the local area events in her spare time!
